conception is a moment in time
sperm touches egg
and time commences
a history starts

when was that moment
if you don't mind my asking
my wanting to know

I'd know then when our anniversary is
our anniversaries are

want to know when it got started and how

was it on the kitchen cabinet
on the sofa, in the bed or on the floor

where my darling could it have been
and when

when I've not laid eyes or hands on you
for a quarter of a century

fourteen then, forty now
unable to touch you then
I can ravish you now
