their reality, they think
is thee reality, they think
is all the world

what of the fact that always
there are others
going the other way
in the opposite direction

certainly they must know
they must stick to one side
of the road
they can’t own it all
or have it all

their music rumbling
as if nothing else
in all the world mattered
nothing else happening
with any significance
