not everyone abiding by it,

at The River”

river, the sentence
by which we live, love,
from which we suck life

sentence with its left bank
its right bank

like the Seine, Thames,
Euphrates, Tigris,
Mississippi, Nile

sentenced to prison
as well as to life
as well as to die
