How To Eat A Banana
for K.S.
eating banana like a dick,
already exposed to it
out for lunch, eating her banana,
head going up and down
primary school teacher in shock
in the staff room,
reports what she saw
seventh grader eats lunch like this
with her head going up and down
what games is she practicing,
is she preparing for
as important to her
as discus or javelin,
long jump or running track
or running quick
as important as hopscotch
or jump rope or ring play
early graduation
for who eats her banana
with her head going up and down
her mouth around banana
like a shaft she shoves
out and in, in and out
of her twelve year old mouth

is the line
"early graduation
for ____ who eats her banana" missing something?
Shorty,
you mean the engineering of the language requires some syntactical element to connect "for" to "who," for the meaning, like electricity or what passes through plumbing, to pass through and pass on? Do you sense leakage or blockage? To your mind and from your own expertise with language, what seems left out? What do you suggest? Pattern of words I've put down or put up here, does seem fine to me, as far as meaning goes. I am so very grateful for your close attention and for whatever else you add.
Wow. So it seems that whether we show our daughters how to "take care" of their husbands or not they are gonna practice somehow somewhere on any bananna that the mother has packed in their lunch bag.
